A New Haven for Dogs and Their Owners
The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the grand opening of West Guth Dog Park, an exciting addition to West Guth Park at 9700 Up River Road. This much-anticipated park is set to open its gates on Saturday, February 1, at 7:30 a.m., offering dog owners and their furry companions a safe and fun space to enjoy the outdoors.
A Tail-Wagging Experience Awaits
Dog owners can now enjoy a leash-free experience within the gated facility, where their pets can roam freely in a dedicated play area. The park is divided into two sections: one for small dogs and another for large dogs, ensuring a safe environment for all breeds. To make playtime more engaging, the park features amenities such as:
- A-frame climbers for active pups to scale
- A decorative fire hydrant that adds charm and functionality
- A bone-shaped climber for extra fun
- A gazebo and benches where owners can relax while watching their dogs play
Convenient Hours for All Visitors
The West Guth Dog Park offers flexible hours to accommodate all schedules. The operating hours are:
- Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Wednesday – Sunday: 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Monday: Closed for maintenance
This well-planned schedule ensures the park remains clean and safe for all visitors.
