As the city gears up for one of its most anticipated cycling events, bike enthusiasts are excitedly buzzing. The 22nd Annual Conquer the Coast Bike Ride is fast approaching, set to take place on Saturday, September 21. This year’s event promises to be unforgettable, with city officials and event organizers making key announcements during a recent press conference.
A Ride for Everyone
One of the most appealing aspects of the Conquer the Coast Bike Ride is its inclusivity. The event is designed to cater to riders of all skill levels, ensuring everyone—from beginners to seasoned cyclists—can enjoy the ride. According to organizers, the bike routes are carefully planned to accommodate a wide range of abilities, making this event truly one-of-a-kind. Whether you’re in it for a casual ride or looking to push your limits, you’ll find the perfect route for your adventure.
“There’s no other ride like it,” said one of the event organizers. “You will create memories that last a lifetime.”
The Final Harbor Bridge Route
For longtime participants, this year’s event carries extra significance. City officials confirmed that 2024 will mark the final year for the Conquer the Coast ride over the iconic Harbor Bridge. This news has added an emotional touch to the event, as many cyclists look forward to their last chance to experience this unique route. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of history.
With 1,200 participants setting a record at last year’s event, the expectations for this year are higher than ever. As the final Harbor Bridge ride, we anticipate even more cyclists eager to be part of history. Join us and be part of this growing community of cycling enthusiasts.
Route Options for Every Cyclist
Cyclists will have three distinct route options to choose from, each offering a different challenge:
- 66-Mile Route: For the more experienced riders, this route takes you through some of the most scenic areas in the region. It’s a test of endurance but also offers breathtaking views.
- 21-Mile Route: Ideal for intermediate cyclists, this route balances challenge and leisure. You’ll get to enjoy a solid ride without overexerting yourself.
- 10-Mile Route: Perfect for beginners or families, this shorter route allows for a more relaxed ride while still participating in the more significant event.
Registration and Packet Pick-Up
If you still need to register, there’s still time! You can sign up for any of the three routes online. Participants are encouraged to pick up their event packets on Friday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Brewster’s Street Icehouse – Downtown to prepare for the big day. These packets include all the necessary information and materials for the ride.
