Cold Front Set to Hit Corpus Christi

Cold Front

Frigid Temperatures are Expected to Plunge below freezing

A powerful cold front is set to sweep through Corpus Christi late Tuesday, bringing icy winds and plummeting temperatures, similar to a previous cold blast weeks ago. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), temperatures will drop below freezing across most of the region, including areas along the coast.

In a social media post, the local NWS office confirmed that winds will be strong overnight and conditions will turn dangerously cold. Officials are urging residents to prepare for extreme cold and take precautions to stay warm.

Dramatic Temperature Drop on the Way

Tuesday will start warm, with highs between 74°F and 84°F, but temperatures will rapidly decline overnight. By Wednesday morning, the low will range from 36°F to 45°F, with colder air settling in as the week progresses.

By Wednesday afternoon, highs will struggle to surpass 47°F to 56°F, with overnight lows dipping to 25°F to 33°F—potentially the coldest night of the week. Thursday will bring another bitterly cold day, with highs only reaching 44°F to 47°F, followed by overnight lows between 35°F and 42°F.

The cold will persist into Friday, with highs ranging from 44°F to 50°F. Additionally, the NWS predicts a 50% chance of rain, making conditions even more challenging for those without adequate shelter.
