Bishop Police Department in Corpus Christi, Texas, is currently investigating the tragic death of a two-year-old child. On Tuesday, July 11, around 9:00 p.m., authorities responded to a residence located in the 400 block of East Henderson Street in Bishop.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered the young boy unconscious and not breathing. They administered immediate CPR and rushed him to Driscoll Children’s Hospital. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, the child passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, shortly after 5 p.m.
Given the circumstances surrounding the child’s death, Bishop Police have labeled it as suspicious. The investigation remains active, with various agencies involved, including Bishop Police, Texas Rangers, and Child Protective Services (CPS).
Chief Edward Day of the Bishop Police Department stated that CPS removed the other children present in the house, ranging in age from an infant to a 17-year-old, from the home. The authorities are awaiting results from the medical examiner’s office to determine the exact cause of death.
