Notably, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Peacock Solar Project, a 187-megawatt solar farm, occurred on Friday. “The amount of energy generated from a project of this size is equivalent to 34,000 homes… that energy is being used to power the GCGV site just a couple miles away, freeing up the rest of the electricity grid to have more capacity.”
